We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for all of the collection and storing. We DO NOT use Google or other major analtics provider. We do not use cookies or track cookies. We self host and self maintain all collected analytics in databases hosted within the Canadian Amazon Web Services environment. Data is anonymised on ingest unless otherwise required for basic functionality, such as the email addresses inside of the email database. The data is transformed using a unique seed value appended to the data which is then hashed using a non reversable hashing algorithm.
Data is stored within the Canadian Amazon Web Service ecosystem using non public facing databases, the data is only accessible after successful authentication with AWS and an independent Idendity Provider (IdP). Strong keys, passwords, two factor authentication (2FA), idQ for secure authorization and athentication is used. All data requests made must be authenticated against a reputable 3rd party IdP using idQ.
We use it to generate meaningful analytics to demonstrate the engagement from our members and guests. We DO NOT sell it or distribute it to a 3rd party.
You can request your data by contacting the IET Ottawa LN. Contact information is on the contact page. You will need to prove ownership of the data you are requesting. We can only provide the data that has not been anonymised as the data that has been anonymised has been transformed using a unique seed value and a non reversable hashing algorithm.
You can request the deletion of your data. You will need to prove owenership of the data you are requesting to be deleted. We can only delete the data that has not been anonymised.
